ONE MORE DAY!!!!

June 1, 2010

TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR THIS YEAR.....I AM SO EXCITED!!!!

I am SO TIRED of making school lunches every day...tired of the routine, up early, school, homework, dance, bath, bed day after day...tired of that stupid alarm going off at 6 am....tired of driving to school everyday just to sit in the parent drop off line FOREVER...tired of all the busy work projects teachers think up, and just plain tired!!

I guess you could say, we are totally ready for a long break at our house....

We are planning a quiet summer, I HOPE! Girl's camp, and EFY for Cooper, Summer dance classes for both of them, working on solos and the duet with Ms. Andee, and then a 2 week visit to Papa's house right before school starts, and then in September, a trip to Mark Goodman's master tap university. Also in there somewhere will be friends, a trip to Harwin street for jewelry, and who knows what else....sewing, scrapbooking, jammie days, swimming, making strawberry jam, JUST BEING LAZY....doing what we want to do when we want to.

Gary and Jean were here for the Memorial weekend, and we went to the aquarium on Monday. It was really fun, and we all decided that Baby Jack would have really thought it was neat. We even got brave and petted a shark, a crab, some prickly thing, and something else which I can't remember it's name. Dad saw his tigers, which were just laying there until one decided to show us his tonsils....and then we went for Pizza Hut buffet for lunch. Gary and Dad got a lot of little repair jobs done, and Aunt Jean took the girls shopping at Penneys. Everyone came home with something, even the great neice and nephew. I just have to get everything in the mail.

Cooper has been promised that she will return to school without her braces on her teeth....she is SO EXCITED. She has also earned her Young Women's medallion, and will receive it this Sunday.

Cymbre has her new glasses, and they are really cute....a purple frame....and she is feeling better now that she can actually see again out of the eye that was injured. It will always be more blurry than the other one, but we can deal with that....we are just grateful that she can see again. It fades in and out, but has always returned in about an hour, or if she just bumps her head very slightly....that's interesting to me. Dr. Lee told us it would probably do that for the next year or so.

Cymbre's knee has really progressed, and we may be attending our last physical therapy session this week.....that will be great. Jeff will send her home with the exercises she has to continue to do, and then if something happens, we will return to the doctor, and probably for more therapy. Those muscles have really responded well the last three weeks. THANK GOODNESS...she could use a bit of good stuff happening instead of the constant pain and suffering!

I showed off my grandma key chain again today...to Martha Herrera.....she is SO JEALOUS! She want's one too, but I told her she needs grandbabies before she gets one. Sister Mayo is totally jealous of my Grandma Brag Book too. I think I just may have the upper hand in the Grandma department for now anyway.

Just a few more weeks, and Cymbre will be done with Primary...she is SO READY!

Well, I have the curtains cut for above the front door to slow down the sunshine from coming in all afternoon....then maybe the air conditioner won't have to work so hard. So I think I will go iron them, and sew in the hems. Then Dad has to get his ladder out to hang them up....they are just going on a tension rod.

Guess that's about all the news for now....Grandma needs to skype the grandbabies again....

Go out there and do something totally unexpected for someone today....

Love you.

Mom
