I Survived the Week!!!

Saturday, June 16, 2007

Hurrah!!! I survived Recital week!! Can you believe it?

After the marathon sewing session last Friday, we got the pirates on stage, and everything went well. Cymbre got the biggest cheer of the evening when she did her solo. People were amazed because she looks so small that she could do what she did.

Ginny is off in Austria with the senior dance team, and Brittainey Lott and I are running the office. The office is a mess as they are remodeling, and making me an office behind the front office, and it's dusty and messed up at the moment. When they get done, it will be beautiful.

Summer registration continues to come in, and I have had to make three more classes as the other ones filled up.

As for the wedding, the little helpers have been busy at work, and we have finally cleaned up the dining room so we can at least see floor. Cymbre decorated little gift bags for the bridesmaid gifts, and she will wrap the gifts while I go to camp. I finished the baby dresses!!! THANK GOODNESS! I am not sitting down to that sewing machine for at least a week! Tina is making the table clothes while I go to camp, and Karen will come and help plant the geraniums when I get home from camp. We have piles of stuff for San Diego, Utah, and Houston. The florist is confirmed, and I hope the flowers and tuxes are where they are supposed to be. Coopie spent an entire morning burning photo CD's for family members. She will probably have to do more, but we did them for who we knew wanted them. The photographer has been contacted to confirm San Diego, but I still need to hear back from him. The wedding cake is ordered!! What a hoopla that was! The count for the open house is up to date through what we got in the mail today, and so is the reception. What is the deal with people who don't RSVP? Mormons and family members are the worst!

The little girls started their duet for next competition season today. Lenorris is really working them. It will be great!

Coopie and I are off to camp on Monday morning, and if I survive, we will be home on Thursday in time to repack and be on a plane on Friday. The little ones are staying here with Brittainey Lott, so they will have playmates for a couple of days. Lenorris wants to work on their duet again next Saturday also.

Dad may begin working on the picture wall for the reception while I am gone, everything is ready for him...

I got photos made of the Bridal ones, and the engagement ones just so everyone could see what is on the disk they are getting. Then they can decide for themselves what they want to print. I still can't get Jami's website to work properly....oh well, I am printing what I want anyway.

The little ones are getting really excited to go and see Caleb....and Russell. Just what is the attraction with big brothers?

Well, I am going to put this body in the bathtub and sit there for a little while. Then on to something to get ready for camp...I think I have to iron some clothes. I can't manage to bribe anyone to do it for me, so I will buckle down and do it myself! Then I have to find the recipes for Shyla.

Guess that's about all for today.....all you who are reading this and haven't written on your blog...do it. I'm tired of reading the same old thing.

Love you all.

I'm Sinking!!!

Monday, June 11, 2007

I am slowly sinking. This one woman show is on the downfall! I am exhausted after a marathon sewing session from Friday night at 7:30 until Saturday morning at 11:30am. We had to make 21 pirate costumes for the recital Saturday afternoon. Needless to say, I am TIRED!!

I would have stayed home from church and slept, but the lady who was supposed to help in the library called and was sick, so I got up and went. Then I slept during the afternoon, but now Dad is gone, so there won't be much sleep the rest of this week, and next week is girls camp, and there won't be sleep, and then the wedding in San Diego, and I am going to sleep on the plane ride there!

I have one baby dress done, and the other is cut out. However, if I have to look at sewing machines much longer this week, I am going to SCREAM!! Hopefully by Wednesday night I can be done.

I still have to finish paying for flowers, order the wedding cake, confirm the photographer in San Diego, make Adalaide's dress, do the dance company final papers for the juniors and seniors, clean up my office at the studio, and clean up the dining room. The wedding is overflowing into the entry, and I can't stand it anymore. Then I have to burn the photo CD's for family members, and confirm with the florist here where the flowers have been wired for San Diego and Provo.

Dad says we are cleaning out the storage unit to save the $100 a month, so I guess we will do that on Saturday after Dad gets home. Or maybe he and Cymbre can do it while Cooper and I go to camp. Guess it's a good thing Shyla doesn't need her room anymore.

Today the scrapbook store called, and said they were having a special thing for the preferred customers and could I come on Wednesday night for several hours. I just laughed!! I couldn't manage to get to the class I paid for last week, what makes them think I will come for a party? I guess I am one of the best customers, so they wanted to honor me, but I told them I have to be at work. They want me to come in on Thursday and pick up some basket they have made for me. Whatever....

Talked to Uncle Larry today...it was nice to talk to him. He baptized Tessa a few weeks ago. He is working hard, and Lyn is getting ready to set up her classroom at a new school for next year.

I have to go and clean up the office at the dance studio. You cannot even see the top of my desk. We are expanding the office into the storage room, and everything is everywhere....don't know how I am going to clean it all up before classes start tomorrow.

Well, enough of this for tonight...I am going to get my new romance novel, and sit in the tub with the bubbles going until the water gets cold. Then I may warm up the water and sit there some more. Dad is gone, so there is no sense going to bed!

Have a good day, and get some sleep for mom.

Bye
