Once again we had an ancient prophet come visit our Sunday School class. Brother Herrera played the part of Samuel the Lamanite, a Book of Mormon prophet. I took his script straight out of the scriptures, and then the class REALLY enjoyed throwing stones (light weight balls) at him!
The class treats that day were the rice krispie treats stacked up on the corner of the table with a small action figure of Samuel the Lamanite from the church bookstore.
This is all the kids in my class that day posing with Samuel the Lamanite.
While Samuel was talking, the kids were silently passing out the stones (balls) so that they would be ready to stone him when he was done. The paper across the front of the table is the city wall that Samuel was standing on calling the people of the town to repentance.
The passing out of the stones....
I had to keep telling them it wasn't time yet....but when I said go, there were balls flying EVERYWHERE!
At the end of the class period, I let them have a few minutes to throw the balls at each other....the problem was, I was caught in the crossfire!
And then it was clean up time.....and again the boys threw the balls at me because I was holding the container to put them away in!
One of these days I will get even with them.....
They even devoured the entire city wall before they left....I'm pretty sure there were some very stuffed pockets and purses! Just saying....
