Therapy Beginning To Work!!!

February 5, 2010

THE GOOD NEWS IS THE THERAPY IS BEGINNING TO WORK for Cymbre....the bad news is each week it gets more expensive!

Her therapist said this week that she is making progress faster than he thought she would, and the muscles are beginning to figure out what we need them to do again! HURRAH! YIPPEE!!
She hasn't had the tears so much this past week, but is still VERY sore all the time. Thank goodness for Tylenol and Aleve...

This week he put her on a bicycle thing and made her go really slow, and then put her on "Very Expensive WII" he said and had her push against tension. Then on to a balance board that she wasn't supposed to touch the ground on either side (she's good at this because of her dancing on one leg!) Then her stretching exercises on a bigger ball this time, and on a bigger wedge thing. He didn't have her roll the ball on the wall today, but told her to continue doing it at home. Now at home she does this football leg lift thing, and then will change the last 2 minutes to the harder leg lift he had her do today. She has about 30 minutes of exercises to do now. Some twice a day, some just after dance, and then always 10 minutes of ice on both knees. She does the exercises on both knees....I guess progress is a good thing this week.

Everyone keep saying those prayers and keep her name in your temples.

Ms. Andee is coming tonight for a little while before Cooper's birthday party....they will work on hard tap steps....the girls LOVE it when she comes. Traffic update: Ms. Andee is still in traffic, so we are probably going to the studio earlier tomorrow for our tap lesson.

Tonight for the party, they are painting picture frames, eating pizza, shaving balloons, and making outfits out of newspaper and duct tape. Cymbre will be taking pictures. That's her job!

I have one week to make a Dr. jacket, alter Cooper's Mercy costume, finish Cymbre's jazz sleeve, and make some jewelry for I'm Not That Girl. They have the Company Production next Friday...Think I'll make it....let's hope so. Then after that show, I will work on the tutu stuff for Firebird....there's no way it will be done this week.....and Dad is gone for most of the week...so that means we have to call him for Math homework! He will be in Canada for 3-4 days. Guess that means I have to do the seminary drop off too....and all the dance runs. I think I deserve donuts for being Mom and Dad next week.!! Someone take care of that for me ok...I don't have time to go get them!

This Grammie is LOVING the pictures of my grandbabies on the blogs this week...Grandpa really like the Eden one with the elephants! Keep those pictures coming...Dad puts them on my keychain thing, and then I get to make all my friends jealous! Works for me!!

Dad has the reservations made to go to California...haven't printed them out, but at least they are made.

Now I just have to get back with Mark Goodman about when he wants to see "his girls". I still think they are MINE!!

TP: If you are reading this, I finally have all the stuff to mail your Christmas and Birthday presents. You do like to celebrate in February right???

Russell and Holly: We are bring at least some of your birthday presents with us when we come....I'll have to mail what won't fit...So we need to party at Shyla's for everyone's birthday...OK! Shyla, we will need to make a cake...so get the stuff ok. AND GRAMMIE gets to hold the babies during the partying! Cooper will lead the dancing, Cymbre will take pictures, and Who knows what Dad will do...probably just sit and watch and play Babies with Grammie! He could always read But Not the Hippotamus....that makes babies cry you know!!! Russell in is charge of drinks, the non alcoholic versions! Caleb and Holly are in charge of showing up! And bring the baby too! Britni brings Taco Bueno...don't we all wish!!!

ALSO: Shyla is making the photo appointment, so bring some Sunday clothes for the pictures.

Well, I must get busy....change the laundry and such boring things.

Have a great week, and remember to serve someone you don't know. You will be glad you did.

Love you all bunches.

Mom
