Who knows What Now!

January 14, 2010

Ok, so who knows what will happen now...Cooper is still not feeling her best, and Cymbre has shooting pains in her knee!
We've been to the doctor for Cooper, and Cymbre is going back to the orthopedist again tomorrow. We need a break with the medical stuff!
The last costume part has finally been ordered. I was beginning to think I would be making a red tutu this year....not what I wanted to do since you have to import the netting.....and it takes weeks. However, Ms. Casey has been a busy beaver, and found us a couple of options, and we finally ordered one today. Should be here in the next week or so. That means I have a few days left to finish up the other costumes. Just little stuff to finish now...rhinestoning, sewing lace, making a arm cover....all the piddely stuff I hate! The only thing worse is all the headpieces! Some days it seem like all I do is sew pipe cleaners to the bottom of hats to hold them on the heads! It's so boring. I much prefer designing the hat than dealing with how to hold it on the head!

I went Valentine shopping for my grandbabies....found some fun things, and now I just have to get them together and in the mail in time. Spoiling grandbabies is more fun that spoiling my own kids! Sorry kids!

Went to a grocery store that was closing today, and got some TERRIFIC deals! Took my coupons, and everything in the store was already 50% off, so I did really well. The pantry in now really stocked up again for a few days anyway.

They came and replaced the water meter out in the front yard yesterday, so now we have brown waqter...how does that work? I showed Dad last night, and he ran the water for a bit, but I still didn't take my bath in it. Took a shower instead. At least I can't see that it's brown that way. Dad thinks it will clear in a day or two. I hope so. i'm glad the water we drink in the kitchen is filtered by that reverse osmosis thing. Seems to me if you have a new meter, you shouldn't have water issues!

I've been reading my Danielle Steel book from Christmas...almost done...then I'll send it along to Britni. She likes to read my books when I am finished. She called and will graduate next Spring from the part of nursing school she has been finishing....then on to finish up!

Dad's got a new calling at church, but I can't say what it is yet...you will have to come back on Sunday to find out. I still don't have a new one....they don't know what to do with me. They asked Dad what I wanted to do, and he isn't going to tell them anything. I thought they were supposed to work on inspiration anyway.

Dad has put several photos on my new digital keychain...and I've been showing it off to all my friends....Caleb and Holly got it for me for Christmas, and now I have my grandbabies and my own babies whenever I want a peek! My friends are jealous! So now, I just have to keep getting new pictures of the grandbabies from the parents. So parents...keep posting them! Grammie and the Aunties LOVE them! Grandpa does too!

Got the sewing room cleaned up again....but I will mess it up again this week. I tell you, when I get these costumes done this year, I am going to make something for just myself!!! I really mean it! Or maybe something for the grandbabies...I found a really cute little dress pattern this week and some pink plaid material.

Dad has started taking up the tile in our bathroom. It was funny the other day to be laying in bed with Dad and we hear this Pop, Pop, Pop....Dad got up to investigate, and more of the tiles were loose. We think the cement under them got too cold during the freezing cold weather, and made them loosen...at least we didn't have broken pipes like a lot of people in the ward. Dad just takes a few up at a time, and then we put down some bathmats to cover up the rough stuff so I can walk on it. He'll get it done and put back together soon.

Cymbre's claypot rhino is back out in her garden...or barren wasteland of her flowerbed. She brought her in during the cold spell because she didn't want the glue to come apart. That would have been tragic...rhino guts everywhere if she broke open...can't you just picture Cymbre's mortification? I'll go look for a photo...be right back...Dad helped me find the picture...It's at the top of this post! Dad made the thing, and then I painted the face. Click on the picture to see a bigger view...
Well, that's about all the news tonight. Must get back to sewing my lace on...
Remember to do something totally nice and unexpected for someone you don't know today....you won't regret it.
Love you bunches.
Mom
