Something's Missing At The Grocery Store

Wednesday, November 21, 2007

Ok, I really want to know how come when you go to the grocery store and manage to fill up your basket with all kinds of stuff that there is never anyone who will go home with you to put it away. I really think that the store should provide that service....I mean really....you spend an hour there and spend lots of money but no one will help put it away!! They will put it in your car so that everything falls out of the sacks before you get home, so why can't they at least come home to help clean up the mess of all the spilt things??? A VERY puzzling question in my book!

My foot is not broken, at least that's what the radiologist says, but it isn't getting better. The bruise is going away, but all the pain remains. I am so tired of my shoe not fitting on my foot at the end of the day, and that vicodin they give you just puts you to sleep. I simply cannot take that dumb pill 4 times a day! I would be a terrible drug addict!

I am back at the studio, but thankful that we are now closed for the rest of this week. Maybe I can get a few things caught up at home....like find the floor in the sewing room by moving several sets of altered ones back to the studio. However, I would have to finish altering them before I can move them back.

I have the pajama pants cut out and waiting on the kitchen counter for some children, but still have to cut out for others. I will never get everything done!!

I would be nice if I could manage to get some Christmas shopping done this weekend. However, it will all depend on how much my foot can handle. Cooper is ready to be at Kohl's at 4am when they open. She LOVES the early morning stuff the day after Thanksgiving. Cymbre is great at sneaking in among the big people to grab what we are hoping for. All the big people just think she is somebody's kid, and just let her in!!! Way to go Cymbre!!

Cooper will probably be having her tonsils removed on December 19th! What a Christmas break for her!!! However, they say she will feel better once she is healed. The healing process may be more than she can handle in that the doctor has told her two weeks of NO dance. That is painful for her!

I have three seamstresses busy at work, and have been working everyday myself. There is still so much left to do. I sure hope we manage to pull this off this year! There are performance days the first two weekends in December. Cooper and Cymbre are involved in both of them. I finally have those 430 rhinestones all glued on the Happy Feet tuxedos for both the girls. Talk about sniffing glue!! I think I may have lost a couple of the very few brain cells that I have left. Total insanity is probably just a couple of rhinestones away!

I am trying to start writing the family Christmas newsletter, but haven't gotten any inspiration as of yet....guess I need to get Dad involved. He can usually jump start me on to something. He needs to make the list of everywhere he has been this year anyway.

Cooper taught some baby dance classes all on her own again recently. Ms. Andee was sick, so Ginny just brought in Cooper. The parents were thrilled. She is also teaching two little girls some private lessons. She loves the money, and it's a great experience for her.

Cymbre is finally just wearing her retainer at night!!! THANK GOODNESS! Now we just have to get two baby teeth removed, and maintain while her permanent ones come in. Then it will be braces.

Cymbre has grown so tall lately....we can actually see her above the kitchen high counter now. It's quite amazing! They have her in all the level 4-5 dance classes, and she is improving quite rapidly. It's making all the teenagers CRAZY! Some of those teenagers have been in that level class for 3 years, and Cymbre comes in and is passing some of them up. It drives them nuts. Go Cymbre!

Just have the boot covers and the skirt left to make on the duet for Cymbre and Megan. That will be done hopefully this week.....everyone say your prayers.

Dad will be back in Denver for a couple of days this week...I think he goes on Monday.

Cymbre gave a talk in primay this past Sunday. She did a good job, and Dad even managed to work her rhinos into it. Miracles will never cease.

Well, no funny stuff today as the medicine for my foot is making me just a bit sleepy....must go lay down with some ice on this foot.

Have a great week, and remember to go out of your way to do something nice for someone this week.

It's almost time for the snowmen to come out of hiding!!! YIPPY!!

Love you.

Mom
